Jack Petchey

We are delighted that Ricards Lodge has been selected to receive achievement awards from the Jack Petchey Foundation, a foundation eager to help young people to take advantage of opportunities and play a full part in society. Each month a student will be nominated to receive an award of £300 to be spent on equipment for the school. Each winning student will be invited to select an item from the school’s wish list, which will be drawn up by the student council. The winning student will also receive a certificate and badge and have their name added to a roll of honour which will be displayed within the school. The nominees do need to be exceptionally hard working or have done something really positive for other people. Nominations can be made by all students and staff within the school. A committee made up of students will then select each month’s winner. Once a year a staff member can also be nominated to receive an award of £1000, also to be spent in school. Finally, all winners will also be invited to attend a presentation at the Civic Centre where they will receive a winner’s medallion. This is a fantastic opportunity for everyone within the school, so let’s make the most of it!
