Key Stage 4

In line with the National Curriculum and school policy we have a common core of subjects which everyone studies – Maths, English (Language and Literature or Combined English), at least one GCSE or BTEC in Science, PSE, RE and PE.

Students who achieve our entry criteria  in English, Mathematics and Science in Year 9, will have an extended core that includes either Additional Science GCSE or Triple Sciences (GCSEs in Biology, Chemistry and Physics), either GCSE History or GCSE Geography and a GCSE in a Modern Foreign Language (French, German or Spanish).

Other pathways are available which include increased lesson time in English, Maths and Science and which allow students to study from a wide range of subjects, either GCSEs and / or BTECs. Students should aim to choose subjects which give them a broad and balanced curriculum.
