As 6th form students you will be given the opportunity to build on the leadership skills you have gained at Key Stages 3 and 4. As senior members of the school you will be role models for the main body of the school. You will have the chance to take a lead in community and charity events and act as mentors, especially in our specialist subject areas of maths, ICT and performing and visual arts. In taking such opportunities you will discover the depth of your own resources and serve the school and its community in many valuable ways.

Daisy – Arkwright Engineering Scholarship

We are delighted that Daisy Zealey has been awarded an Arkwright Engineering Scholarship. The Arkwright Scholarships Trust identifies and nurtures future leaders in engineering and related areas of design. Arkwright’s Engineering Scholarships support high-calibre, engineering-minded students over two years, as they study for their A levels. Daisy had to go through a rigorous process which enabled her to explore a wide range of the technical aspects of design engineering which could open up a career path for her. Daisy has secured a sponsor, The Happold Foundation, which is a trust set up by Buro Happold; a leading engineering firm that specialises in buildings and infrastructure.

Daisy achieved a wonderful set of GCSE results; 9A*s, 2 As and 1 B. She is studying Art, Graphics, Maths and Physics at A level at RR6.
