King's Aspiration Partnership
As part of the King's Aspiration Partnership program, Year 10 students from local schools were invited for a lecture and a campus tour at one of London's top universities; King's College.
Upon arrival, we were welcomed by university ambassadors for breakfast and took part in a lecture about pollution, delivered by an entertaining professor, followed by a Q&A with student ambassadors. It gave the feeling of being an undergraduate at the Waterloo campus.
The lunch was surprisingly good - a selection of fruit, sandwiches (including vegan), pizza and cupcakes were offered. On a Tour of the Strand Campus, we were guided through the halls of residence, canteen, social areas, Multi-Faith Chapel, and Main Hall. We also met the university’s mascot and visited the renovated former BBC World Service building.
