London Mithraeum
Our Year 12 Archaeology Enrichment Class students visited one of the UK’s most significant archaeological sites, the London Mithraeum (Roman temple of Mithras).
Our Year 12 Archaeology Enrichment Class students visited one of the UK’s most significant archaeological sites, the London Mithraeum (Roman temple of Mithras), to see the past brought vividly to life with an immersive, multisensory experience.
The temple has been restored to capture the mystery and intrigue of the Roman cult of Mithras, who used to meet on this site. Haze, mist, light and the sound of footsteps, chanting in Latin and secret whispers transported our students back to London AD 240!
